Rolls-Royce Appoints Cushman & Wakefield on Global Mandate

Power Systems giant Rolls-Royce has appointed Cushman & Wakefield to an expanded role supporting its global property requirements following a competitive tender process.

The appointment extends a partnership which first began in the US in 2012, expanded into Europe the following year and has now been extended further into Asia-Pacific, a key growth market for the firm, and South America.

Rolls-Royce provides products and services across five business areas of Civil Aerospace, Defence Aerospace, Marine, Nuclear and Power Systems. Its property portfolio encompasses offices, manufacturing facilities, test centres, storage and associated real estate.

The contract will be managed by Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Occupier Services (GOS) business, under the account leadership of Ed Neild. The firm will deliver transaction management, occupier management, strategic consultancy and lease administration services – with teams embedded in key Rolls-Royce sites.

Ian Campbell, Property Director, Rolls-Royce, said: “We were seeking advisers that would support us in our goal of accelerating pace and simplicity across our operations. Cushman & Wakefield listened to what we wanted to achieve and provided us with a dynamic team and flexible model to deliver on our global requirements.”

James Maddock, Head of GOS EMEA, Cushman & Wakefield, commented:We are delighted Rolls-Royce has chosen us for this prestigious global mandate. We are entering into a collaborative partnership to deliver a new operating model for Rolls-Royce that will see Cushman & Wakefield providing best-in-class transaction support, procurement of third party transactional providers and governance globally. This is an exciting step for both partners and further evidence of the flexibility and appeal of our Global Occupier Services model.”
