American Food & Beverage Retailer Five Guys chooses Antwerp to open their first store in Belgium. Five Guys has signed an agreement to let a commercial ground & first floor in the prestigious corner building De Keyserlei 11 in Antwerp.

Five Guys is an American fast casual restaurant chain (based in Virginia) and is focused on hamburgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and French fries. Each burger or hotdog is finished custom made with a choice of multitude of toppings. The opening in Antwerp is foreseen in Q1 2018.

Five Guys was founded in 1986 by Janie and Jerry Murrell; Jerry and his 4 sons Jim, Matt, Chad, and Ben, were the original "Five Guys”. The Murrells had a fifth son, Tyler, two years later. Today, all five sons, the current "Five Guys", are still involved in the family business. Outside America, Five Guys is already active in Middle East and across Europe in UK, France, Portugal, Spain and Germany. The aim for 2018 is to expand in new markets such as BeNeLux, Scandinavia, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.

At Five Guys, everything is daily cooked fresh from scratch to ensure maximum freshness; fresh and delicious go hand-in-hand. Potatoes are hand-cut daily; they always tell you where they come from too, with posters on their walls. They don't use automated cooking timers, because great cooking is all about knowing instinctively when food is perfectly cooked - based on sight, aroma and texture.

Cushman & Wakefield (Guy Rietens) acted on behalf of the tenant and advised Five Guys in this transaction.
